0.0.8

Doesn't crash, completely unusable, showing rendered image from installed/pre-shutdown system, having graphical seizures every mouse move pixel, can't see anything of the current session.

0.0.8r945

See above, only difference is you can not Ctrl+Alt+delete to reboot, you can't see all text on shutdown, and you can get to a TTY.

Unknown first error.

0.0.8

Same as pleia2, pulls up, everything is laggy, no TTYs, shutdown shows everything typed in the session.

0.0.9r970

Pulls up, mouse move very laggy, graphically seems to lag, and get less than half as many FPS as X.org.

XMir starts up, screen flickers and is laggy on events like changing workspaces and tab-changing application windows - often showing previous application for a moment. In xfce4-terminal it prints characters and then will delete them and show them again: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mir/+bug/1208242 when shutting down the text I typed in my session shows up in the console during shutdown video of all here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfroweheIEU

Display is working correctly, XMir successfully started. There is no mouse lag, but minor tearing when dragging a window. Second monitor is attached, mirroring the laptop display.

Significant performance drops with glxgears. Using nouveau on saucy without XMir gives a consistent 120 FPS. With XMir, it stays around 80 FPS, unless I move the mouse, then it drops to 30 FPS

dual monitors where mirrored by default i see no option to change its mode, http://i.imgur.com/yHSAH2F.png the zoom mouse pointer in the image shows a broken box, this can not be screenshotted. i can play 1080p videos No sound, but i guess thats not an mir issue, after tinkering with the pavucontrol optins it started to work, it was muted by default. i got several tumbler error crash reports no aparent errors i can call critical

0.0.9r970

Lots of lag while typing still, glxgears reports more than 500FPS, lots of video tearing, 1080p videos cripple, still bad dual monitoring.

Tried on laptop - completely unusable. Not sure how to describe it - but I'll try … how about - screen split into 5 or 6 regions - alternating between coloured and black/white - zigzagging across the screen or a picture tells a thousand words - http://imagebin.org/266445

0.0.8r945

works ok - other than the slow cursor problems

On laptop - did a clean install and then installed xorg-server-mir, unity-system-compositor - rebooted, flashing login screen - boots to desktop - appearing to work ok. Laggy scrollback refresh in XChat. Opening new tabs in firefox - you can see them appearing from left to right affected by https://bugs.launchpad.net/mir/+bug/1196239

Works ok on this machine. Slow cursor movement, seems like tping through treacle in livecd, installing - seems ok here. http://imagebin.org/266502 Not really all that responsive though.

reinstalled to this machine - no changes noticed to issues noted previously Same as the laptop on this machine Tried to get some info from #ubuntu-mir previously

<smspillaz> elfy: I've noticed that the displayed frames don't always keep up with the surface submitted frames
<smspillaz> elfy: I think its a known issue?
<smspillaz> elfy: I'm not entirely sure at the moment. The client I'm working on now I know has some issues to do with frames being submitted at the wrong time so I could just be that we're seeing different things

Couldn't get 64bit ISO to work on any USB stick available (which I use to install several other 64bit distributions). Ran tests on 32bit ISO on my two laptops.

Booted OK, got to choose to run Live CD or install. Chose Live CD and got some errors for nm-applet and apport-gtk, but otherwise fine. http://www.sjolund.se/pix/sonyvaio.png

Experienced the lag when typing as mentioned before. I also got to see everything I wrote in the session including my Bitcasa password in clear text when shutting down the laptop.

Asus eee pc 900

Did not get the screen where to choose to start Live CD or install. Just booted and finally got an error: Installation failed The installer encountered an unrecoverable error. A desktop session will now be run so that you may investigate the problem or try installing again.

After clicking OK I got a session: http://www.sjolund.se/pix/asuseeepc900.png

I did not experience the same lag when typing, though it could be because my typing was slower on the tiny keyboard. I did however get the same issue with all my typing being shown in clear text when shutting down the laptop.

0.0.8r945

Same issue with the 64bit ISO, for strange reasons it never boots the USB stick, just the blinking cursor in the upper left corner of the screen, like just before GRUB loads on my usual systems.

Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller (rev 04)

Grahammechanical

Nvidia GT220

The live session runs on Xmir. Experience normal for a development ISO image. The installed failed in the sense that the reboot did not bring a desktop running on Xmir. I did not tick Install Third Party Software. So, the Nvidia driver was not active. I checked this in Additional Drivers and Nouveau was the driver. I rebooted and now I have Xubuntu running on Xmir. It may take a second reboot to bring up Xmir. The platform is stable and applications load and run as they should. The ordinary user would not notice if it was Xserver or Xmir. So, I do not think that the issue of needing a second reboot is important. There are a couple of minor issues with Xmir which are known and have been present since Ollie Reis PPA was opened. Using that PPA I have been running Xubuntu+xmir since the beginning of July.

Seems to work well, but after some hours of usage started seeing the “input-latency problem” in some apps, solved for some minutes by relogin; random gaming seems to be ok, mir didn't crash under “heavy usage” (it was slow as hell though!)

there is direct rendering (glxinfo | grep -i direct, the common command), and stuff seems to work outside that

However, got flashing background after logging out. After logging back in, Xorg crashed with SIGABRT.
